This Week from Mitch

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It is that time again, the time when we gather to reflect on the past year and think about the year to come. In other words, it is time for our annual meeting. At the annual meeting, we will say thank you to vestry members for their service, welcome new vestry members and diocesan delegates, celebrate the ministry we have done together, review our financial reports, and most importantly cast a vision for the year to come.

By the numbers, I am pleased to report that St. Martin's continues to grow! But you already know that. You know it from new faces in the pews next to you and the new ministries you have seen birthed in this place. It is my belief that if we continue to focus on worship, service, learning, and fellowship, we will continue to grow. When we keep the main things the main things we grow stronger.

As we move forward towards Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas I want you all to know that I give thanks for all of you. I give thanks for this church and its people. I give thanks for Penny Thomas our Senior Warden, Gordon Thomas our Junior Warden, as well as all the volunteers of our parish. I give thanks for our choir who sings so beautifully and all of the volunteers who help us make worship happen every week.

I give thanks for our amazing staff! I give thanks for our Deacon, Dianna, and Alex our youth minister. Finally, I give thanks for Caitlyn who truly is one of the most talented priests I know. The work that all of these folks put in for the glory of God and our church is truly remarkable.

Again, I'm pretty sure you already know this. Please join me in giving thanks.

In Christ,

Mitch
