Where Your Treasure Is. One of the greatest acts of stewardship is using your will to benefit and serve others. Some 40 families in the St. Martin's parish did just that when they founded the Legacy Society. Through their foresight, generosity and philanthropic leadership, these members of the Legacy Society are ensuring that their beloved church will be supported long after their deaths.
To join the Society, make arrangements with your advisors to include St. Martin's in your will and inform the Foundation of these plans. Your bequest can be designated (funds applied to a specific purpose or intent) or undesignated (funds are used where they are most needed). Gifts can be in the form of provisions in wills, life insurance policies, retirement plans, pooled income funds, charitable gift annuity, charitable lead trust, remainder unitrust or other investments.
Taking Hold of Life. Established to recognize and celebrate Legacy Society members, the Legacy Garden located on the front lawn of the church features a plaque with all founding Society members' names. The flower garden, whose focal point is the original cross from the old St. Martin's chapel, is a colorful, vibrant reminder that God does richly provide us with everything and that heaven shall be our treasure storehouse. |
