The St. Martin's-In-The-Fields Foundation, founded in 1973 as a perpetual trust, seeks to excel in the grace of giving through encouraging contributions to the trust and using its proceeds to undertake God's world.

Motivated by the Holy Spirit, Christians are called to shine our lights and praise God through service and stewardship.  St. Martin's Foundation is a manifestation of that motivation to set an example and reflect Christ's love.

St. Martin's Episcopal Church strives to develop good stewardship of parishioners by encouraging support of giving opportunities like these available through the Foundation.  These opportunities include the:

New Foundation funds also can established for restricted or unrestricted purposes.  The income from the Foundation investments is applied to charitable, religious, or educational purposes.

Good and Faithful Stewards. The Foundation's investment committee is assisted by professional investment manager who advises on ways to handle assets in a sound, responsible manner.  Grants from the Foundation income are exclusive of St. Martin's budgetary items and distributed to worthy causes at least annually.

According to What One Has. Remembering or honoring an individual, group or special occasion through the Foundation can be a fitting and enduring gesture. In fact, most Foundation donations come from parishioners and friends in honor or memory of loved ones or in thanksgiving for a special life event. Contributions of any amount are accepted and appreciated. Gifts less than $500 honoring specific individuals are credited to the Cloak & Sword Fund unless other wise designated, and those gifts greater than $500 are generally credited to the Arbor Endowment.

Collectively, these gifts allow St. Martin's to multiply its resources through God's blessing - thus, no gift is too small.

Memorials or honor gifts can be made by using a Foundation envelope or by sending the donation to the church with a note of explanation attached. Memorials and honoraria are listed periodically in the Messenger and on the website in tribute to those honored and in celebration of the generosity.
