Community life has been an integral part of Christian faith from the beginning.  The early church met in the homes of the faithful and perpetuated intimate relationships among adherents even as it nurtured and spread belief in Jesus Christ.

About the time Emperor Constantine sanctioned Christianity as the official religion of the Roman Empire, monasteries began to form.  Interestingly, the monastic orders have perpetuated the kind of intimate community life known by the members of the early church. How does a parish church in the 21st century build and support a community life according to the model of the early church and the history of our own Anglican tradition?  At St. Martin's we believe it is done by sponsoring a broad -- and deep -- variety of offerings aimed at Inreach (support of the members of our own parish) and outreach (support of those beyond our parish community). We invite you to become active in one or more offerings in this division and enjoy the rich common life available at St. Martin's.
